The New York Common Sessions in Critical Criminology

The Common Study Programme in Critical Criminology is the premiere scholarly forum for the study of critical criminology. The Programme’s twelve participating universities host semi-annual conferences, known as “Common Sessions,” which provide faculty and students from participating universities a chance to exchange ideas and present papers on cutting edge issues in critical criminology. CUNY is proud to host this student-oriented conference, which will bring together students and faculty from Middlesex University, University of Kent, University of Hamburg, Ghent University, Rotterdam University, Budapest University, Utrecht University, University of Athens, University of Porto, University of Bologna, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and the CUNY Graduate Center, for three days of critical presentations and discussions based around the theme of “Looking Forward: Resistance, Repression, and Possibility.”
